SISTER!
My cover of: Mario Kart Love Song (originally by Sam Hart)
I recorded this a while back for a couple and their wedding, as they had requested. I never shared it, so I thought I would now since I said that I’d be putting out a new cover today……. and I couldn’t get any new recording to sound decent, haha.
I hope you like this!! x
In honor of everyone’s least-favorite “holiday,” Marshall York and his guitar join us to improvise “love” songs based on suggestions submitted by you fine and funky people. Valentine’s Day may be a problematic trumped-up fake-o marketing conspiracy by Big Flowers, but The Marvelous Mister Marshall is damned wonderful. Thanks so much to everyone who sent in suggestions!
Sam read one of my true life Valentine’s Day stories and Marshall did a hilarious song about it that I am crying with laughter at. This is worth a listen! These guys are very funny and talented.
Belated from yesterday! Hey, it’s the weekend!
The challenge assumes I saw some kind of “incident” or a “scene” that I can describe in detail. Sadly, I don’t think I saw anything too out of the ordinary yesterday so I will talk about when I almost cried while waiting for the subway the other day because a musician was playing such a beautiful song.
Mumford & Sons - Sigh No More
There is a design, an alignment, a cry
Of my heart to see,
The beauty of love as it was made to be
NEW FROM ME! haha tis an original called, “Sweeter Than” :)
Oh, look, it’s my sister singing a song she wrote.
I talked into an iPad and the magical app Songify transformed my unremarkable speech into a song to which all mankind can now dance.
I made this all for you on MLK, Jr. Day!
”Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” -Martin Luther King Jr.
Every song you have ever loved and every song you have ever hated.
so. good.
This is incredible. I love when people point things out that were right in front of us all along.
