PITtv team Philo’s Folly presents, “Quidditch World Cup V 2011.”

Quidditch is a real sport, even though it seems pretty easy.

The PIT is an official sponsor of the 2011 Quidditch World Cup!  100 teams. 2,000 athletes. 1 World Cup.  November 12-13.

OUR LATEST VIDEO!  Rich is awesome!

MY SKETCH TEAM.  The more I watch this, the more incredible it becomes.

chrispetescia asked: Was this any good? Was there no seeker? I don’t get how this translates to a muggle sport :P

To be completely honest with you I was a little skeptical going in.  I was all, “HA WHUT THEY WON’T EVEN BE REALLY FLYING WHAT’S THE POINT LOLZ.”  But boy was I wrong!

There are 3 chasers, 2 beaters, 1 keeper, 1 seeker and then (my favorite) the SNITCH RUNNER (who is dressed completely in yellow/gold).  The snitch is a tennis ball kept in a sock hanging out of the back of the snitch runner’s shorts.  During the game the snitch runner can go wherever and do whatever he wants - he can even leave the field!  I witnessed one snitch runner climbing a fence at one point!
