Day 22: Write a letter to an inanimate object.

Dear Carmex Moisturizing Lip Balm,

I must start out by making a confession: usually I buy only Blistex lip protection, but I have heard great things about you.  When I ventured into Walgreens today and purchased you, I took a chance.  I have to say I haven’t regretted my decision since.  Although you smell kind of weird (maybe I should have gotten “cherry”), you really get the job done.

I know you are called a “lip balm,” but I blew my nose so much over the past few days I went through three tissue boxes and I’m convinced pieces of my nose skin went with it.  Yes, I am admitting I put you on my nose, too, in hopes you can work your magic there.  What is in a name, anyway?  A rose by any other name would smell as sweet, and a lip balm is still just an every day balm that helps repair chapped skin.

Thank you for your support thus far, and I look forward to our future encounters.

All the best,
Michelle
