I went to a Zoë Keating concert tonight (which was AMAZING by the way) (pictured is my space invaders themed wrist band they gave out to signify I am over 21). ”She uses a cello and a foot-controlled laptop to record layer upon layer of cello, creating intricate, haunting and compelling music.” It’s honestly really epic.
ANYWAY.
As the concert neared the end, the exodus of people leaving began. I don’t get it. I mean, I understand that you want to get a head start so you beat everyone else out and snag the first cabs or beat the traffic, but don’t you want to see the end of the concert? If I paid to see a full concert, I will stay for the full concert. Also, I’d always be in wonder of what I could have missed.
I am glad I stayed til the very end because Zoë and the violinist who opened for her, Todd Raymond, performed an improvised piece together that was so incredibly moving and was my favorite piece of the night. …SUCKAS!
